This is a beta feature and will require a few steps to setup. Please follow the instructions below or watch the Loom video at the bottom.
Instructions
- Add Sentiyen bot to your Slack workspace by following this link
- Mention
@Sentiyen
in any public channel to generate test data for the upcoming Zapier setup
- Add the Zapier integration by using this template (or alternatively make your own)
Zapier template configuration
If using the template, please follow these additional steps to configure the template:
- Step 1: Trigger on
@Sentiyen
mention in your Slack workspace
- Connect Zapier to your Slack workspace and setup to trigger on mention of the user
sentiyen
(test data is required for this, see step 2 above)
- Step 2: Let the user know in thread that an answer is being fetched.
- No additional configuration.
- Step 3: Remove the
@Sentiyen
mention from the user’s message before sending it to the Sentiyen API.
- No additional configuration.
- Step 4: Send message to Sentiyen
- You’ll need to configure your Sentiyen account.
- Channel ID: you can find this on the “Channel Settings” page in your dashboard
- Channel Name: you can use the same name as the one on your “Channel Settings” page or something else. This is simply to distinguish potentially multiple connections to Sentiyen inside of Zapier.
- Username: this is the “Account ID” on the “API Keys” page in your dashboard.
- Password: you’ll need to click “Generate new key” on the “API Keys” page in your dashboard.
- Step 5: Send Sentiyen’s answer back to Slack thread
- No additional configuration
