This is a beta feature and will require a few steps to setup. Please follow the instructions below or watch the Loom video at the bottom.

Instructions

  1. Add Sentiyen bot to your Slack workspace by following this link
  2. Mention @Sentiyen in any public channel to generate test data for the upcoming Zapier setup
  3. Add the Zapier integration by using this template (or alternatively make your own)

Zapier template configuration

If using the template, please follow these additional steps to configure the template:

  1. Step 1: Trigger on @Sentiyen mention in your Slack workspace
    1. Connect Zapier to your Slack workspace and setup to trigger on mention of the user sentiyen (test data is required for this, see step 2 above)
  2. Step 2: Let the user know in thread that an answer is being fetched.
    1. No additional configuration.
  3. Step 3: Remove the @Sentiyen mention from the user’s message before sending it to the Sentiyen API.
    1. No additional configuration.
  4. Step 4: Send message to Sentiyen
    1. You’ll need to configure your Sentiyen account.
    2. Channel ID: you can find this on the “Channel Settings” page in your dashboard
    3. Channel Name: you can use the same name as the one on your “Channel Settings” page or something else. This is simply to distinguish potentially multiple connections to Sentiyen inside of Zapier.
    4. Username: this is the “Account ID” on the “API Keys” page in your dashboard.
    5. Password: you’ll need to click “Generate new key” on the “API Keys” page in your dashboard.
  5. Step 5: Send Sentiyen’s answer back to Slack thread
    1. No additional configuration
